We have been made aware of recent tax scams targeting businesses utilizing Paycheck Protection Programs (PPP) data. These scams may offer large tax refunds or additional compensation as part of the Employee Retention Credit. Business owners may receive letters claiming to assist with filing their taxes. The letters may even reference your bank’s name and contact information. Please be very cautious with any tax related matters. Research any offers that seem too good to be true. Contact your accountant, loan officer or a bank representative with any questions.
